As the new year begins, Kawasaki is introducing a series of motorcycles in India one after another. In essence, they are thought to bring high-end models. Together with the redesigned Z900 naked streetfighter, the Japanese manufacturer today unveiled the much anticipated Ninja 500 sports bike in India. It will retail for an alluring Rs 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom) on the home market.

Let it be known that Kawasaki already sells both Ninja 400 and Ninja 300 models in India. This time they are joined by Ninja 500. Interestingly, the price of Ninja 400 and Ninja 500 has been kept the same. So many people think that the sale of 400 cc Ninja may be stopped this time.
A brand-new 451 cc parallel twin engine powers the high-performance Kawasaki Ninja 500. At 9,000 rpm, it can generate 45 bhp of maximum power and 42.6 Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch is linked to the engine. The Kawasaki Ninja 500 boasts a more streamlined and sharper look. The only color available for the sports bike is Metallic Spark Black. Bluetooth connectivity and an LCD instrument cluster are examples of special features.
In terms of components, the bike will include a rear monoshock suspension and a telescopic front fork. 17-inch wheels fitted with 220mm of rear and 310mm of front disc brakes. There is more disc brake range than Ninja 400. Orders for the Ninja 500 are already being taken, and delivery is anticipated to begin in March of next month. Aprilia RS457 and Yamaha R3 are competitors in the market.
