On Thursday, smoke emerged from what seemed to be a Bajaj Chetak electric scooter at a busy Jalna Road traffic light.
According to an official, the fire department sent out a crew to put out the smoke. Two farmers from Varvandi village, Bhagwan Chavan and Ravindra Chavan, had traveled to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to buy water pipes. According to the official, they discovered smoke emanating from their e-vehicle as they were waiting at the signal.
After the car was moved aside, a Seven Hills fire department crew was dispatched. According to the official, the smoke ceased after the team rinsed the car with water.
“There has been a thermal event reported to us. “The issue is being looked into,” a Bajaj Auto representative told PTI. The local police and fire department officials who were contacted stated that they were unaware of the vehicle’s brand.

Bajaj Chetak is the best-selling electric scooter in the nation, according to Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj, who also stated, “Ola to Ola hai, Chetak to shola hai.”
