Here’s how to watch the Premier League live, whether you’re based in the UK, US, or elsewhere.
Arsenal presently leads the way, although champions Liverpool and Manchester City are following closely after. Aston Villa, the early season surprise gifts, are presently fourth, with Tottenham in fifth and Manchester United a distant sixth. However, fifth place may be enough to qualify for the Champions League next season.
At the other end, Luton Town appear to be the most probable promoted team to escape an immediate return to the Championship, with Burnley and Sheffield United trailing well behind.

How to watch the Premier League in the UK
In the United Kingdom, only 200 of the 380 games are broadcast live. The bulk of these may be seen on Sky Sports, although some are also available on TNT Sports (previously BT Sport) and Amazon Prime Video.
Sky Sports
Sky Sports offers various alternatives. The first step is to sign up for an 18-month TV package that starts at £46 per month (needs at least a £26 a month Entertainment plan).
If you don’t mind paying a monthly fee for your television, Sky Glass is also worth investigating. Currently, a 43-inch TV (48-month contract), Sky Sports, Sky Entertainment, and Netflix (18-month contract) costs £56 per month.
Alternatively, you may add the feature to your current TV via Sky Stream. It starts at £45 per month for an 18-month subscription that includes Sky Entertainment, Netflix, and Sky Sports.
Sky Go allows you to access all of the above from your phone, tablet, or laptop.
That does not apply to Sky’s Now streaming service, although it is a less expensive choice. A Now Sports membership (which includes all 11 Sky Sports channels) costs £34.99 per month at full pricing.
You may also wish to add Now Boost, which adds 1080p video (rather than 720p), eliminates commercials, and allows you to watch on up to three devices at once (rather than one). After the one-month free trial, it costs an additional £6 each month.
TNT Sports
Although BT Sport has been renamed as TNT Sports, the offered plans have not altered significantly.
The lowest TV bundle costs £20 per month for 24 months (plus £41.99 up front), but it also includes Eurosport 1 & 2 and the Discovery+ Premium streaming service.
However, if you prefer to stream all of the action rather than own a recordable TV box, just adding TNT Sports to Discovery+ makes more sense. This costs £20 per month for BT Broadband members, but you must purchase the monthly pass for £30.99 per month otherwise.
If you want to combine TNT Sports with Sky Sports (known as ‘Big Sport’), you’ll pay £45 per month at full price.
Amazon Prime Video
To view Prime Video’s live games, you must first have an Amazon Prime subscription.
After a 30-day free trial, the cost is £8.99 per month or £95 per year. However, there are other more perks, including as free next-day delivery on many purchases, unlimited picture storage, and access to select music and games.
However, if you don’t believe you’ll use any of it, you can obtain Prime Video for £5.99 per month by clicking ‘See other options’ on the sign-up page.
How to watch the Premier League in the US
In the United States, NBC owns exclusive English-language rights to the Champions League. All 380 matches are carried live on NBC’s primary stations, the NBC-owned USA Network, and the streaming site Peacock.
Peacock has the most of the games and is also the most cheap. It starts at $5.99 per month/$59.99 per year for ‘Premium’ and goes up to $11.99 per month/$119.99 for ad-free ‘Premium Plus’. You may register for both on the Peacock website.
If you don’t want to pay for cable, things get a little more tricky with NBC and the USA Network.
The most convenient option is to subscribe to a live TV streaming service like YouTube TV ($72.99 per month), Sling TV (needs $45 per month Sling Blue), or Hulu+ Live TV ($76.99 per month). None of these are inexpensive, but they provide several additional benefits.
How to watch the Premier League outside the UK and US
Before attempting to watch UK or US TV from overseas, check to see which station has the Premier League rights where you live. The Premier League website contains a comprehensive list of international broadcasters.
However, if you’re only visiting another country, it’s a good idea to use a VPN to access your UK or US subscriptions. We’re using NordVPN in this guide, but there are many of excellent choices in our top VPN chart.
